Introductory Technology for junior Secondary Schools is a series designed in accordance with the new curriculum for Basic Technology developed by Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC) for the Nine-Year Basic Education Programme.

The series covers synthetic and natural materials, wood, metals, plastics and ceramics, energy and machines necessary as the bedrock for a successful technological development.

Book One, the first of three books meant for the three years of Junior Secondary Education (now Upper Basic Education), has been written in a simple and clear language. There are several illustrations, practical projects and class exercises to aid learning.
