In Phonics First Book 2, Students consolidate their knowledge of letter-sound relationships. After completing this book, students will be able to identify the beginning consonants, ending consonants and middle vowels in words. They are now prepared to blend these sounds together to make words.

In Phonics First Book 3, students use their knowledge of single letter-sound relationships to read simple words. Through a variety of motivational exercises and activities, they gradually develop their skills so they can read these words with accuracy and fluency.

In Phonics First Book 4, students use their knowledge of single letter-sound to read words containing common beginning and ending blends. Each unit introduces a new set of blends to learn through a variety of motivational exercises and activities. They gradually develop their skills so they can read these words containing these blends with accuracy and fluency.

In Phonics First Book 5, students are introduced to higher order phonics skills and generalizations. They learn the common consonant diagraphs, long vowel rules, and the soft ‘c’ and ‘g’ sounds. Through a variety of motivational exercises and activities, students develop their skills so they are able to read words containing these sounds with accuracy and fluency.

In Phonics First Book 6, students continue their acquisition of higher order phonics skills and generalisations. They learn to recognize diphthongs and diagraphs, the vowels before ‘r’, and silent letters. Through a variety of motivational exercises and activities, students gradually develop their skills until they are able to read words containing these sounds with accuracy and fluency.
