Description

Civic Education for junior Secondary Schools Books 1 – 3 are written in conformity with the syllabus for the Upper Basic Education developed by the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC).

The books are built on the foundation laid in Civic Education for Primary Schools for the Lower and Middle Basic Education. Thus putting into consideration the recommendation of the new curriculum and the desire to attain the Millennium Developments Goals (MDGs) and the nation’s agenda fashioned by government at various levels in Nigeria.

The contents of the books are comprehensively treated using the students’ centered approach to build morally sound, diligent and upright citizens who would defend, protect and promote the social, political and economic development of Nigeria.

Each book is accompanied by a Workbook and Teachers’ Guide for the Upper Basic Education.
