First published in 2016, Casebook on Administrative Law is a compilation of cases and commentaries which are in line with the law syllabus by the Nigerian University Commission (NUC) for Nigerian universities. The book covers numerous cases related to administration such as delegated legislation, rule-making procedures, right to fair hearing, due process of law, ombudsman/public complaint commission, judicial and non-judicial remedies for administrative acts, civil and public service administration, public corporations and agencies, suits against agents of government and its gents, etc. The book maps out these topics to assist all law students in their career pursuit in law.
The Nigerian casebook series will be useful to legal practitioners and students studying administrative and management courses as they read the course materials during their private study. The cases contained in this text will also serve as a teaching guide for lecturers.
The author is a Professor of Law and has been a seasoned academic lecturer for many decades in Nigerian universities including the University of Maiduguri, University of llorin, Lagos State University and the National Open University. He is presently an academic staff at the Redeemer’s University, Ede.
He has written and edited many books, journals and law reports. The law books in the Nigerian Casebooks Series include Law of Contract, Law of Tort, Company Law, Labour and Employment Law, Commercial Law, Equity and Trust Law, Law of Banking, Land Law, Constitutional Law and Law of Evidence.
