Christian Religious Studies for Primary Schools is a six – book series written in compliance with the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC) curriculum. The books are written to enable pupils have an in – depth knowledge of the Christian religion.
The books give explicit explanation of selected themes from the bible such as who God is, the power of Jesus and Jesus’ second coming, the works of the holy spirit, activities of the first century disciples, and our relationship with other people in society, using appropriate scriptures both from the Old and New Testaments for concise explanation. These topics are geared towards helping to form morally sound pupils, both in character and conduct, as well as PRIMARY identifying what their duties are to their parents and community as Christians.
The books are presented in simple language accompanied with beautiful illustrations. Each chapter in the books begins with a bible quote that summarises the topic under discussion. This helps to keep the pupils ‘ mind focussed on the objective of the topic being treated. The contents of the books are also improved with a memory verse section to further help pupils to understand and internalise what has been taught.
